I am an investigator, educator, and Certified Threat Assessment Professional - CTAP (C). With expertise in providing training and independent assessments for both individuals and corporate clients, I focus on effective threat management. I utilize various violence risk assessment tools, including the Brief Spousal Assault Form for the Evaluation of Risk (B-SAFER), Stalking Assessment and Management (SAM), and Risk for Honour Based Violence (PATRIARCH). My goal is prevention through the assessment and management of incidents involving intimate partner violence, criminal harassment (stalking), honour-based violence, and workplace violence. I offer confidential consultations and tailored safety planning suggestions that address your specific situation or needs, ensuring a comprehensive approach to violence risk management.
I am the president of Threat Management Matters Inc., where we specialize in effective threat management strategies. Holding a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, I am also a proud member of the Canadian Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. This role connects me to a global network focused on enhancing safety planning and conducting thorough violence risk assessment. With over 20 years of law enforcement experience, I have most recently worked as a Detective in the Threat Assessment Unit, where I specialized in violence risk management. My training includes an understudy program with the Behavioural Sciences Section of the Ontario Provincial Police, and I have been qualified as an expert witness in the Ontario Court of Justice. Furthermore, I have contributed as an expert panel member for the Neighbours, Friends and Families initiative, which aims to raise public education and awareness about intimate partner violence.
